The Roman Empire. What an empire! I could talk to you all day about empires, but I bet I'd never come up with an empire as imperial as that Roman one.

Here are some interesting historical facts about the glory that once was Rome:

FACT: The Romans never referred to themselves as "the Roman Empire." At the time, the greatest empire on earth was known variously as "the happy boys," "Terry and those other guys," and "the Aztecs."

FACT: The fall of the Roman Empire was hastened by the so-called "year 200 bug." Outdated Roman papyrus confused the year CC for the year C, and the result was disaster.

FACT: One of the good things about the fall of the Roman Empire is that at least the Romans got to wear their fall coats.
